Le cauchemar ne s&rsquo;est pas arr\u00eat\u00e9 mais a plut\u00f4t augment\u00e9 en intensit\u00e9 et en hauteur et bient\u00f4t les maisons, les cultures, les arbres, les chemins ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recouverts d&rsquo;\u00e9paisses cendres noires, tandis que les tremblements constants se poursuivaient, ainsi que les fortes explosions. <\/p>\n<p>La population \u00e9tait stup\u00e9faite et horrifi\u00e9e, les gens priaient en d\u00e9sespoir de cause, esp\u00e9rant que le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne s&rsquo;arr\u00eaterait bient\u00f4t et les laisserait vivre et travailler en paix. Le bruit des explosions continues provenant de Capelinhos a \u00e9t\u00e9 entendu jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 Flores, \u00e0 220 km \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest de Faial. <\/p>\n<p>Ce jour-l\u00e0, ni le monde ni Faial n&rsquo;ont pris fin, et heureusement, il n&rsquo;y a pas eu de victimes pendant toute l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e d&rsquo;\u00e9ruptions, mais pour plus de 2000 personnes, la vie allait changer pour toujours.
