Meeting point / pick up:

This half day tour starts either at 9:00 or at 14:00, please let us know which time suits you. We pick you up directly at your place of accommodation or any place of your choice in Faial. Alternatively we can meet in the city of Horta at the Largo Dr. Manuel de Arriaga on the square in front of Hotel do Canal. Please let us know your preference!

Since the tour is private, we have the flexibility to adapt each tour to our clients’ preferences and to the weather conditions. Our Guides love to share our island’s history and culture, and their knowledge about Azores in general.

If you’re interested, we are happy to stop for a swim in the ocean during the summer or for a small hike. Our car tour on Faial is an 8 hours tour with lunch included.

It is a real adventure that requires a good basic level of fitness. 

We start the climb at Casa da Montanha. From there, it is about three hours to the summit. Once at the top, it’s full of breathtaking views. The descent is the toughest part of the climb, but we are by your side with tips and tricks to make it as smooth as possible. 

It is an activity not to be missed and one that will stay with you for the rest of your life. A natural landscape like you’ve never seen before!

After a short tour of the city, continue along the southeast coast of the island. Pass through the villages of Ribeirinha, Feteira, Porto Judeu and São Sebastião. See all the main attractions along the way, such as the Ilhéus das Cabras and Terceira’s oldest church.

Move on to your next stop, the Serra do Cume. Admire the largest and oldest caldera on the island and the colorful landscape. This viewpoint in the Serra do Cume overlooks the patchwork of green pastures, forming “A Manta de Pontos”. A brief visit to Praia da Vitória, its historic center.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation, or anywhere else in Angra do Heroísmo.

All the rooms at Casa BuonVento are equipped with desk, wardrobe or clothes hanger, fan and/or radiant heater.
Bed linen and towels are provided.

Available for our guests is a shared, fully equipped kitchen (tableware, cutlery, appliances), and a little lounge area with sofa, TV and books.

We organise morning and afternoon trips, lasting between 3 and 4 hours. The species sighted may vary depending on the time of year, however we do have some species that are “resident” all year round, such as the Sperm Whale.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations can be made at any time, provided the company is notified in writing (via email or WhatsApp). You will receive a refund based on the following cancellation policy:

– Cancellations requested 7 days or more before the date of the activity, the client will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

– Cancellations requested between 4 and 6 days before the date of the activity, the customer will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid.

– Cancellations requested up to 72 hours before the date of the activity, the customer will not receive a refund.

No-shows resulting from cancelled or delayed flights will be eligible for a refund in accordance with our cancellation policy.
