Azores Experiences is a project of two dreamers, born in 2012, the result of a great passion for the Azores, which led them to join forces and energies to provide the best possible experiences to those who visit these islands.
Filipe, a native of Faial, has been working in tourism for a few years now – guiding visitors, unlocking secrets and telling stories – and his knowledge and love of his homeland is clear to see. By chance, or perhaps not, she found Pedro – from the mainland, passionate about the Azores and an outspoken “Whale Geek” – the ideal partner to take on this adventure. As they are both connected to these islands, Filipe mainly on land and Pedro mainly at sea, the perfect combination was formed.
Our mission is simple: to offer the best experiences possible. We want to pass on the knowledge and passion we have for these islands to each person who joins us. This is our main focus – what drives us every day and makes us feel that our goal has been fulfilled!
Our team is dynamic! Pedro and Filipe are always present, but new members join every season, adding more value, action and quality to our work.
WHAT WE DO:
Azores Experiences, located in Faial (30 minutes by ferry from Pico) offers Sea and Land Experiences, our main activities being Whale Watching and Full Day Island Tours around the island of Faial.
Whale watching is one of our greatest passions!
We are truly passionate and fascinated by these animals, and every day we try to pass on a little of this passion, and our knowledge, to all those who choose us to live this experience. We organise morning and afternoon trips, lasting between 3 and 4 hours.
Expeditions around the island of Faial allow us to find and pass through hidden places, with unexpected and breathtaking natural landscapes, by travelling along less “usual” paths and shortcuts. The Full Day expedition lasts approximately 7 hours.
