Caldeira Descent – Private Tour in Faial
The Caldeira of Faial has been a natural reserve since 1972 (category I – IUCN). It’s a volcanic collapse crater with unique characteristics. Since the Caldeira of Faial Descent is such a special experience, Faial Natural Park controls the access to the bottom, issuing only a limited number of permits. For this reason, a certified guide is mandatory for the Caldeira Descent.
Whale watching
During this activity you will have the opportunity to observe whales and dolphins (cetaceans) in their natural habitat. The main whale watching season on the island of Faial runs from April to October. You can go on a whale watching tour regardless of age and physical state, everyone is welcome! * The trip is shared with other participants and requires a minimum of 6 persons

We organise morning and afternoon trips, lasting between 3 and 4 hours. Casa da Boa Vista
Casas da Boa Vista is located in Horta, 12 km from Caldeira and 24 km from Capelinhos. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The accommodation comes with a seating area. Some units include a terrace and/or balcony with sea or mountain views. There is also a kitchen, equipped with an oven, microwave and toaster. A fridge and stovetop are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. Every unit has a private bathroom with a bath. Free private parking is available at the holiday home. Private Half a Day Faial, a First Impression
This half day tour of about 3-4 hours, gives you a first impression of the major points of interest of the island. The tour is perfect for those who only stay a short time in Faial and do not want to miss anything.The tour leads you along the southern coast from Horta to the volcano of Capelinhos with a number of stops in between. On the way back we will take a minor road high above the villages. Depending on the weather conditions, you will either visit the Caldeira or some view points above Horta.

Princess Alice Bank (Diving with Mantas)
Diving with Mantas (Mobula tarapacana) is classed as one of the best dives in the Azores. It is located on an underwater bank called "Princesa Alice", about 45 nautical miles south of Faial Island, at a depth of 35 metres. In this experience, you'll have the chance to dive into the heart of the ocean with these majestic animals. Occasionally, you'll also have the chance to see Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis), Barracudas (Sphyraena viridensis) and Lilies (Seriola rivoliana). * The trip is shared with other participants and requires a minimum of 6 persons
Mountain Bike Tour- Private Tour in Faial
Our mountain bike tour crosses Faial Island from east to west. We start riding at Horta and finish in the Capelinhos Volcano. In between, we will see the Caldeira of Faial. This ride is designed for amateur cyclists or sports enthusiasts who practice endurance sports consistently, at least once a week. The route covers 45 km, and 1320 m of elevation gain. We will use mostly dirt roads and secondary roads. The itinerary can change, for our guide will adapt the route depending on the weather conditions and group fitness.
