Around Caldeira Trail – Private Tour in Faial
The trail around the rim of Caldeira is the highest trail on Faial. Caldeira is a very unique volcanic collapse crater because the high altitude allows for a geological interpretation of most of Faial’s characteristics. The interior of the Caldeira is one of the most important nature preservation sites in the Azores.
Unique boat tour to Capelinhos Volcano
We are the only company in Faial island which offers the original boat trips, called “Capelinhos Ocean Tours”. Being a partner of the Natural Park of the Azores and Geoparque Açores we want to share with you the unique beauty of our island and the natural monument Capelinhos volcano.

Princess Alice Bank (Diving with Mantas)
Diving with Mantas (Mobula tarapacana) is classed as one of the best dives in the Azores. It is located on an underwater bank called "Princesa Alice", about 45 nautical miles south of Faial Island, at a depth of 35 metres. In this experience, you'll have the chance to dive into the heart of the ocean with these majestic animals. Occasionally, you'll also have the chance to see Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis), Barracudas (Sphyraena viridensis) and Lilies (Seriola rivoliana).

Trail running on Faial – Private Tour
Trail running on Faial is a fun way to get to know the island. The 10 Volcanoes Trail is arguably the best medium distance trail running route on Faial and is actually part of the Azores Trail Run race. This trail offers an easy way to sight-see for those who carry their running shoes with them wherever they go.

During this activity, you will have the opportunity to observe whales and dolphins (cetaceans) in their natural habitat. The season for this activity on the island of Faial runs from April to October. You can take part in this trip regardless of your age or fitness level – everyone is welcome! Our sites are very diverse and can cater for all preferences and levels of experience, with more than 20 sites between the islands of Faial and Pico.

Casas da Boa Vista is located in Horta, 12 km from Caldeira and 24 km from Capelinhos. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The accommodation comes with a seating area.
