Vila Franca Islet Reserve (October 16 to April 14)
See upclose a volcanic marvel – the Islet of Vila Franca do Campo off-coast protected natural reserve. Learn more about its geology, and living fauna and flora!
The tour starts with a short briefing introducing to the volcanic islet’s geology, plant and animal species that can be found, the nature reserve’s rules, and safety. Everyone will follow the Guide and Skipper to their designated boat, for 10 minutes travelling by sea to the Islet.
Whale Watching & Islet Boat Tour
Meet us at the Marina of Vila Franca do Campo for check-in at the specified time
The journey starts with a short briefing introducing Cetacean (Whales and Dolphins) local species, their migration and behavioural patterns, and onboard safety
Follow the Guide and Skipper to your designated boat, and go out to sea. Lookouts high inland help locate our friends, and provide directions via VHF Radio to where the boat will travel, initially at high speed. Carefully approaching our friends, your Guide will keep you informed, collect field imagery and data for local research, and is always available throughout to provide answers to any specific questions – feel free to ask
Marine Wildlife can be observed yearlong. More than 25 cetacean species are possible to observe, Sperm Whales are resident alongside 3 dolphin species, and abundant marine biodiversity.
Tour Lagoa do Fogo e Nordeste
We leave Ponta Delgada in the direction of Lagoa do Fogo, descend to Caldeira Velha and then go to Salto do Cabrito. We go further down to the Ribeira Grande boilers. On the way to Nordeste, we stop at the Gorreana tea factory and in the municipality of Nordeste we visit the following places:
- Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park
- Nordeste village
- Ponta do Sossego viewpoint
- Ponta da Madrugada viewpoint

Sete Cidades, Mosteiros and Ferraria
We set off from Ponta Delgada towards Sete Cidades on the Covoada side with the following itinerary:
- Pico do Carvão viewpoint, Lagoa do Canário, Grota do Inferno viewpoint, Cerrado das Freiras viewpoint, Santiago Lagoon, Vista do Rei viewpoint.
Then we head down to the picturesque town of Sete Cidades, where we'll stroll along the banks of the green lagoon and visit the Church of São Nicolau. Next, we'll head to Mosteiros to enjoy its black sand beach and four islets. Finally, we'll visit Ponta da Ferraria, where you can take a hot dip in the sea, depending on the time of year and the tide.

Luxury apartment in a gated condominium, fully equipped to enjoy your excellent holidays in the Azores. The space has an area of 145m2 and contains original and modern decorations. The “Coliseum Residence” apartment is located in the city center of Ponta Delgada, 10 min walk from the natural pools, with a pharmacy 50m away and very close to several restaurants, the Coliseu Micaelense, Avenida das Portas da Cidade and the Port of Ponta Delgada.
The apartment is a T3 with a suite with a private bathroom, a double bedroom with a balcony, a single bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room ( tv and access to the balcony through sliding glass panes), a fully equipped kitchen for your needs and air conditioning in all rooms except the bathrooms.
