Please arrive 5 minutes early, you will find the guide inside the Mountain House. To easily find your guide you will receive the day before a photo of the guide. If you do not find your guide, please ask the ticket counter staff of the Mountain House to point out the guide.

Minimum number of people for activity to commence is 2 persons.

This activity is designed for very fit hikers with previous hiking experience and strong endurance.

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that they are in good health and physical condition to carry out the activities. Not allowed for the climb: pregnancy, physical restrictions (especially in the lower limbs such as knee problems or surgeries), respiratory or heart problems, diabetes or other types of chronic illnesses and fear of heights.

No pets allowed.

Be aware if you have been bottle diving in the previous 24 hours, it is not advised to climb the mountain.

Mount Pico Natural Reserve access fee
Hominis natura has to reserve an entrance ticket for the client to access the Mount Pico Natural Reserve. The availability of the entrance tickets is limited to 320 persons per day. We can only garantee the booking when we have received the personal information of the client and when we have been able to reserve an entrance ticket with that provided information. In case we have not been able to secure an entrance ticket for the client, a full refund will be made.

Rescue
In case of an accident a search and rescue operation in the Pico Mountain Nature Reserve is carried out by the civil protection services. This service is free of charge unless the accident is resulting from disrespect, although negligent, of the regulation, including disregard for safety standards applicable to mountaineering and rules of conduct in Pico Mountain; if it has been requested without justification; and in the event of a not recommended climb. In those cases the costs of the rescue are charged to the climbers.

Withdrawal
Once an activity has been initiated, the total value of the activity will be charged. Even if it is not completed due to physical incapacity or customer withdrawal, when the weather or other conditions make it impracticable to continue, or when safety conditions are not fulfilled. Including the decision of the guide that one or more hikers should stop the activity due to physical incapacity.
